Lilac is a Design research, design management and entrepreneurship specialist. After a brief stint in Advertising, Osanjo started her teaching career at Technical University of Kenya, Kenya Technical Teachers College (KTTC) and the University of Nairobi where she rose to head the Department of Art and Design, before her appointment as Dean of Faculty of the Built Environment and Design. She has been instrumental in promoting design in Africa for which she has received a few awards and recognitions including Pan African Design Institute (PADI) – Simba Club member; Design Kenya Society (DKS); The Kenya Fashion Council; Interior Design in Africa and Women in Real Estate (WIRE) awards. Osanjo has been a jurist for design competitions including the German Design Awards (GDA), Turkey Design Week and Kshs 100 million for Artists in Nairobi. Osanjo holds a PhD in Design, MSc in Entrepreneurship and BA in Design and is a visiting Professor at the University of Johannesburg (UJ).
