SEED: Sparking Education and Empowerment for Development

SEED (Sparking Education and Empowerment for Development) is a student-led initiative born in collaboration between the Industrial University of Santander and Dautom, a digital transformation company from Colombia. It is a modular IIoT learning platform that empowers low-income students through hands-on educational experiences. By combining advanced technologies with community-driven design, SEED bridges the gap between academia and industry, equipping students with the skills needed to thrive in modern economies. The platform includes three case studies supported by portable learning modules, making complex industrial environments accessible and engaging for students. Rooted in inclusivity and open design, SEED is not only a tool for learning but also a catalyst for equity, collaboration, and empowerment, helping shape a new generation of professionals ready to drive social and technological transformation.
