Health District@Queenstown is a pioneering initiative creating an inclusive, future-ready community that supports healthy and active aging. By integrating government agencies, private partners, and community stakeholders, the project replaced fragmented senior services with a unified engagement platform focused on citizen needs. Immersive research included journey mapping for different senior personas, large-scale citizen engagement events, co-creation sessions, and observational community walks, ensuring solutions were deeply informed by seniors’ experiences. Key outcomes include the creation of Silver Zones for safer pedestrian access, Gym Tonic programs to combat frailty, integrated health outreach for screenings and vaccinations, and collaborative care models combining medical and social support. Systemic innovations span infrastructure, programs, and technology, including an anti-frailty health curriculum. Additionally, 24 government officers were trained in service design and qualitative research methods, building public sector capacity and fostering long-term improvements in citizen-centered service delivery.
