Sanjay has over 30 years of diverse experience across corporate and development sectors. Since 2016, he has been developing Societal Thinking, an innovative approach to resolve complex societal challenges with speed, at scale, sustainably. He engages with change leaders, globally, to help them leverage Societal Thinking in domains such as climate action, education, gender equity, healthcare and livelihoods. He is in the process of establishing Centre for Exponential Change, a not-for-profit network of change leaders focused on impact at scale across Brazil, India, Indonesia, Kenya and South Africa.

Passionate about mentoring young entrepreneurs, he advises startups supported by Fundamentum, a scale investment fund, The/Nudge Institute, a not-for-profit incubator and accelerator, and Edumentum, a not-for-profit incubator focused on education. He co-founded apurva.ai to empower change leaders with AI to unlock and amplify the collective wisdom of their communities and networks. He is a member of the Advisory Board of Sparks & Honey, a cultural intelligence consultancy.
